Pocono Chapter

The Pocono chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen was chartered in 1979 and in 1980, produced their first show, the Pocono Craft Exhibit at East Stroudsburg University.  From 1992 - 2000, the Pocono chapter and the Pocono Arts Council partnered to present the Pocono Crafts Festival at various venues, including Shawnee Resort. From 2000 - 2004, Pennsylvania Designer Crafts co-produced the Pocono State Crafts Festival with the Pocono chapter and the Arts Council at Sun Mt. Resort at Shawnee on Delaware. In 2011, due to development of the resort, the show moved to Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm in Stroudsburg.

When the Pocono Arts Council ceased operations in 2024, the Pocono chapter and Quiet Valley took up the reins.

The Pocono chapter is made up of a diverse group of artisans, artists and those who show a deep appreciation for fine craft. Proceeds from the show benefit students in Monroe County arts programs, fund an award for the Strictly Functional Pottery National and support other activities of the chapter. Those interested in joining the chapter can go to https://pacrafts.org/join/ and select "Pocono chapter" when prompted.
